The Foundation Group

As January fast approaches the stereotypical sprint to the gym begins (excuse the pun).

At Raise the Bar, we normally don’t see that frantic rush in January. We want people to join who to make a long-lasting positive change to their health. That’s not something you jump to. You must think long and hard about a change like that.

It takes hard work

It takes changing life-long habits

It takes a financial investment

It takes your heart rate getting a little higher normal

But the reward is beautiful

It’s all possible, the foundation group is where the journey begins

What exactly is the foundation group

The foundation group is a beginner orientated strength and conditioning program

It is our method of screening members to ensure they are competent and confident in a gym to get the results they desire

It’s the first step on the never-ending journey to becoming better

What kind of people come to the foundation group

Ø  People who have never been in a gym before

Ø  People who have been in a gym but can’t seem to progress

Ø  People who have been in a gym but always get injured

Ø  People who know lifting weights is important but don’t know where to start

Ø  People that can’t do it on their own and want the support of a group

We show our members how to do the following:  

Ø  Lift weights properly

Ø  Progress their training each week

Ø  Safety in a gym

Ø  Nutrition advice

Ø  Set realistic targets

Ø  Create a lifestyle that integrates health and fitness

How it works

Each members completes three session per week for 8 weeks (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)

Day 1: Initial consult with Darragh (30 mins)

Day 3: Goal setting with Darragh. This involves an Inbody scan and setting some short-term goals around nutrition, lifestyle, and training (30 mins)

Day 7: Begin their training at Raise The Bar  

How much does it cost?

-          €150 per month

-          Minimum of 12 sessions in the month

-          InBody scan and goal setting on day 1

-          InBody scan and goal setting on day 30

By joining the Foundation group, we are ensuring you are laying the base to create a lifestyle of health and fitness.

How did Foundation Group 1.0 go?

We ran our first phase of the Foundation group in September

It was a massive success

Results like we have never seen before.

Strength, confidence and fat loss were the most common

Not to mention friendships, laughter and taking the mick out of the instructors

We had great fun and got results better than any other gym

The best part….its only the start for these members

They have now progressed to the groups program and have continued their progress

We are after lifelong health, not a 6 week starvation program

The Foundation approach is different to most gyms

Different is sometimes daunting, it might take a little courage to give us a text. Be brave
